YOUR AGING PARENTS

Baby Boomers are faced with difficult decisions about the finances, health, and safety of their parents. Before long, the children of Baby Boomers will face these same decisions about the largest generation yet. This month's Health Exchange on Mountain Lake offers information on caring for aging loved ones.

Health Exchange, Mountain Lake's monthly health and wellness awareness program, will be broadcast live on Wednesday, November 20th at 8:00pm on Mountain Lake PBS, channel 57, with an encore episode on Sunday, November 24th at 4:00pm.

Featured topics include driving issues, vision problems, elder abuse, depression, and overmedication. Guests include Taher Zandi, Ph.D., and Frances Kucharsky, M.A., Psychotherapist and Adult Educator. Dr. Zandi is a State University of New York Distinguished Professor and Director of the Northeastern New York Alzheimers Disease Assistance Center. Kucharsky works with Life Counseling Services in Pincourt, Quebec. She has organized various training seminars relevant to the lifestyles of senior citizens.

Viewers will be invited to call in to ask questions of the featured panelists. Advance inquiries can be e-mailed prior to the show to healthexchange@mountainlake.pbs.org.  Purchase Health Exchange episodes in our online store
